Anura Samarajeewa, a film producer, is keeping a gold necklace worth about two lakh rupees, which he picked up from a cinema hall in Colombo a year ago.
The owner of the gold necklace was Mrs Jayamini, a resident of the Nugegoda Nawala area. Film producer Anura Samarajeewa disclosed information in this regard to a major newspaper in Sri Lanka and said:
“Last year, on June 16, the movie “The Game” premiere was held at the Liberty Cinema. An audience member picked up this necklace and told me to find the owner and hand it over. They gave it to me, but they did not tell me who the audience was who picked up the necklace. I told my wife to keep it safe till it was taken and handed it over to her. Later after meeting the owner, I handed over the gold necklace.” (Lankadeepa)
