The Puttalam Police Special Task Force officers say that they arrested two suspects and two vehicles along with a stock of cardamom worth more than 150 lakhs during an operation in the Kalpitiya Peryathala area.
While the relevant stock of cardamom was illegally brought from India by sea and then hidden in the Kalpitiya Peryatala area then it was hidden in a stock of unhusked coconuts and transported to Colombo, Police Special Task Force officers arrested 16 in the morning following information provided by the intelligence officers of Kalpitiya Vijaya Navy Camp.
