The cabinet has approved instructing a draftsman to prepare a bill for the introduction of a bill for the proper management of funds owned by public institutions.
The related Cabinet decision states that this has been submitted to Parliament by the President as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy as a 2022 interim budget proposal.
Accordingly, the Cabinet decision further states that instructions have been given to prepare the Finance (Special Provisions) Bill in order to systematically monitor the statutory funds maintained by the Ministries, Departments and other government agencies and to implement a program for that purpose.
