Measures have been taken by the Police to deploy 63,000 officers to ensure a safe and orderly presidential election.
Accordingly, these officers, along with officers from the Army, Civil Security Department and the Special Task Force (STF), will be deployed at polling centres, counting centres, and other key landmarks to prevent any disruptions to the election.
According to the Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles, the Police will use maximum force against anyone exhibiting violent behaviour at polling booths on election day.
