The Department of Meteorology announces that there may be today (08) Western, Sabaragamuwa, South, Uva, Central, North-West and North-Central Provinces and Mannar District may experience rain or thundershowers at some places during the evening or at night and heavy rains of more than 50 mm in some places.
The announcement also states that there may be rain or thundershowers in the morning in the western and southern provinces.
The announcement further states that today (08) the sun will rise in the areas of Bemmulla, Tiharia, Pupurassa, Theripaha, Vadinagala and Thirukkovil at 12:12 pm.
