The Department of Meteorology says that in Sabaragamuwa province, Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts, rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or at night.
The department mentioned that there may be some rain in the Eastern Province and Mullaitivu district, while the rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
The Department of Meteorology urges individuals to take the required precautions to reduce the risks brought on by storm-related lightning and transient high winds.
