The Department of Meteorology says that there may be occasional rain or thundershowers in Eastern, Uva and North Central provinces and in the Hambantota district.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the rest of the island during the evening or at night.
The Department of Meteorology urges that individuals take the required precautions to reduce the risks posed by thunderstorms’ transient high winds and lightning.
