The Department of Meteorology announces that some light rains may occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa and Matale districts.
The announcement states that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Ratnapura and Kalutara districts during the evening or at night and the rest of the island will be mainly without rain.
The announcement further stated that some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces are likely to experience foggy conditions in the morning.
