The Department of Meteorology says that some rain may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The department states that there is mainly rainless weather on the rest of the island.
From Puttalam through Colombo to Galle, there will be some rain in the sea areas off the coast, and in the sea areas around the island, the winds will blow from the southwest and the wind speed will be at around (20-35) kmph.
