The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or night in Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Western, Central and North-Western provinces.
South, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and some places in Kalutara district. The department mentioned that heavy rains of around 75 m are also possible.
It is said that there is a possibility of several rainy seasons in the Eastern Province and Polonnaruwa District.
The Department of Meteorology asks that individuals take the appropriate precautions to reduce the risks posed by thunderstorm-related transitory high winds and lightning.
