That country’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha dissolved Thailand’s parliament, allowing for a general election. The general election will be held next May.

Prayut Chan-o-cha became Thailand’s prime minister in 2014 after seizing power in a military coup. He appeared in the general elections held after that as a civilian after retiring from the army.

However, by now Prayut Chan-o-cha is deeply disliked by the people. The Election Commission of Thailand has said that the election will be held on May 7 or 14. (Reuters)
