Sheynnis Palacios, who represented the Latin American country of Nicaragua, won the crown of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant held in San Salvador, El Salvador, which belongs to Latin America.
This year, contestants representing 84 countries participated in the Miss Universe pageant, and this year, Miss Thailand won second place. The third place in the tournament was won by the Australian beauty.
