The Department of Immigration & Emigration says that the e-Visa system will be implemented from today (17) only for tourists. Its Controller General Harsha Ilukpitiya stated that the e-Visa can be applied in five languages at the beginning.
It is also mentioned that information about the online system will be provided through the website www.srilankanevisa.lk. Harsha Ilukpitiya further stated that tourist visas can be obtained for 6 months through the new system.
