According to the latest report released by the World Bank a few days ago, Sri Lanka has dropped to 10th place among the countries with the highest food inflation in the world.
In September last year, when inflation was at its highest, Sri Lanka was second only to Zimbabwe and Lebanon.
Accordingly, the World Bank points out that Sri Lanka, which currently has food inflation of 59%, is in the tenth place on that list.
