Piyal Pathmanatha, Deputy Co-Director of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, says that if the ministers who have not settled the water bills so far do not settle them within two months, the water supply will be cut off.
He mentioned that after the Speaker was informed about this matter, he informed them to provide a list of the MPs who have not paid their water bills and after that if they do not pay the relevant amount within two months, the Speaker has informed them to disconnect the water supply.
He further mentioned that in the month of August this year alone, measures were taken to disconnect more than twenty-one thousand water supplies whose water bills had not been paid.
