President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa states that he completely rejects the statement made by the Chairman of the Electricity Board before the COPE Committee.
Accordingly, the President states that he completely rejects the statement made that he used his authority to award the Mannar wind power project to a specific person or institution.
Recently, the Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board, M. M. C. Ferdinando said that when handing over the Mannar wind power project to Adani, the President summoned him and told him that the Prime Minister of India was forcing him to hand over the project and that he had stated at the time that it was not a matter for the CEB but for the Board of Investment.
