Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Anura Kumara Dissanayake on being elected as Sri Lanka’s 9th Executive President.
Modi also reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations under the ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’ and ‘Vision SAGAR’.
It is worth noting that, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, was the first foreign envoy to meet with President-elect Dissanayake last night (22), delivering a message from Indian leadership expressing continued cooperation and goodwill.
