Influenza H3N2 virus is currently being reported from many states in India and the Ministry of Health said that two people who were infected with the virus and became critical have died.

This is also the first time that influenza H3N2 deaths have been reported from India. The deaths are reported from the states of Haryana and Karnataka.

In the last few days, 90 cases of this influenza virus, also known as Hong Kong flu, have been identified in India.

Doctors say that those infected with this influenza virus, which has many similarities to the symptoms of Covid, also show symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, respiratory problems and diarrhoea. (NDTV)
