Mahela Jayawardena will join the Sri Lankan team in the Twenty20 World Cup as a consultant coach, the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute says.
Accordingly, the Sri Lankan team will leave the island on the 2nd of October, and Mahela is scheduled to join the Sri Lankan team in Australia on the 6th.
