President Emmanuel Macron said that he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, discussed the Russian-Ukraine crisis, and expects the support of the Chinese President to end the crisis. Accordingly, the French President will go to the Chinese capital of Beijing next April, the French Presidential Palace has said in a statement.

It has been a year since Russia began military action against Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine because pro-Western Ukraine was seeking ‘NATO’ membership. ‘NATO‘ is the war alliance formed by Western countries against Russia.

One year after Russia’s military action against Ukraine, China has prepared a 12-point peace plan to end the crisis. That peace plan would begin with a cease-fire. China will be involved as a mediator.

Although French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed direct support for Ukraine, he wants peace between Russia and Ukraine. He will go to China next April to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and discuss the peace plan China has made.
