The heads of Sri Lanka’s Central Bank and Treasury say that the necessary work for local debt restructuring will begin next month.

Accordingly, Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe and Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena has stated that it is expected to be completed by May.

The Governor of the Central Bank has further stated that the focus is on restructuring the stock of treasury bills owned by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
