Yesterday (14th) an accident occurred when an earthen mound collapsed on a two-storey house in Warakapola, Aguruwella Tumbaliyadda area.
The father, mother and son in that house were buried under the earth mound and the security forces and the local residents worked hard to rescue the victims. The injured father was rescued and taken to hospital.
The rescue operations continued till this morning (15) when the bodies of the mother and son were found.
