According to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Media Director Gerry Rice, IMF officials are due to visit Sri Lanka next week.
He said the International Monetary Fund could not announce a date for a staff-level agreement with Sri Lanka or a date for the loan.
He added that the duration of the staff level agreement depends on the strength of the policies and commitments proposed by the authorities.
