The National Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health says that there may be an increase in dengue cases with the current bad weather.
Accordingly, there is a risk of dengue spread in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Ratnapura, Galle and Kegalle, said the Community Medical Officer, Dr Indika Weerasinghe.
In the past 9 months, more than 60,000 dengue cases have been reported from this country, and it is said that the highest number of dengue cases have been reported from the Western Province.
