The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has announced that the number of dengue cases reported in Sri Lanka so far this year has exceeded 57,000.
Accordingly, a total of 57,668 dengue cases and 35 deaths have been reported nationwide to date.
The NDCU also stated that a total of 1,253 new dengue cases were recorded during the past 24 hours alone.
Meanwhile, a total of 11,811 patients have been reported in the Colombo District so far, while 11,443 patients have been reported in the Gampaha District.
