Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured that the senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party Asif Al Zardari will be the new President of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formed a new government in an alliance between his Muslim League-N and Pakistan People’s Party. Besides, other smaller parties supporting these two main parties have also joined this alliance.
Bilawal Bhutto led the ‘Pakistan Janata Party’ in the last election. Bilawal Bhutto is the son of the assassinated Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto.
Asif Ali Zardari was Bhutto’s husband and Bilawal’s father. Asif Ali Zardari has held the office of President of Pakistan before. The President of Pakistan is elected by the Parliament of the country. (NDTV)
