In the upcoming Asia Cup cricket tournament, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will join the tournament as Sri Lanka’s opponents in the first round, according to an announcement issued by the Asian Cricket Institute.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will participate in the second group tournament. The tournament is scheduled to be held next September and Sri Lanka will join the tournament as the Asian cricket champions.

The host of the tournament has been given to Pakistan, who won the runner-up title last time, and the group including India has been named as the second group. The other team in that group is the team selected from the qualifying tournament.

In the first round of the tournament, the top two teams in each group qualify for the Super 4 round.

The tournament includes 13 matches including the final. (divaina)
