The Clean Sri Lanka Project’s ambitious initiative to renovate 1,000 schools across the country officially began on February 20 with a ceremony at Ilukovita Primary School, Thummodara. The event was graced by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, who attended as the Chief Guest.
During the ceremony, construction materials and electrical equipment were handed over to the school’s Principal, marking the Army’s ongoing commitment to improving educational infrastructure.
The event was attended by Major General Dinesh Udugama, Commander – Security Forces (West), Major General Nilantha Premarathne, Adjutant General, along with senior military officials, government representatives, teachers, parents, and students.
