The American Ambassador to Sri Lanka says that the United States of America will provide an additional estimated 65 million dollars in aid to Sri Lanka through the USAID organization over a period of 5 years.
It is stated that the assistance is offered under the Development Objectives Assistance Agreement (DOAG) signed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy, Mahinda Siriwardena, by the Director of USAID Missions in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Gabriel Grau.
The invitation is in addition to the more than US$60 million in new humanitarian and fertilizer aid announced last week, it added.
