The Peradeniya Police say that a twenty-five-year-old preschool teacher was killed yesterday morning (07) by slitting her throat in the Ilukwatta area of Peradeniya. A young woman named Anjali Chapa (25), a resident of Murutalawa, has been murdered.
According to the police, information has been revealed that someone cut her throat near the Ginihena cemetery this morning while she was participating in the New Year celebration planned to be held at the preschool.
The information revealed that the preschool teacher was talking to someone on the phone while coming from the home. The police are conducting investigations to identify the suspect by obtaining data from her mobile phone.
