State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that the government has decided to resume giving 11 lakh rupees interest-free loans to students who have lost university admissions to pursue higher education courses.
Accordingly, the State Minister of Finance mentioned that private university students will have the opportunity to get an interest-free loan facility through 3 state banks.
Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya further stated that priority will be given to technical courses and the Ministry of Finance has given its approval after several rounds of discussions.
