Robert Kaproth, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Asian Region of America, who is on a visit to this country, has met with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Governor of the Central Bank.
Accordingly, the American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung stated that the staff-level agreement that has been made with the International Monetary Fund has been discussed here.
The American ambassador further stated that the sustainable solutions that can be taken regarding the financial crisis in the country and Sri Lanka’s efforts to build the economy were also discussed at length here in a Twitter message.
